  • 23 tbsp plant-based milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (natural)
  • 1/4 tsp natural gelling agent

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Mix the active sourdough starter with warm plant-based milk and a splash of apple cider vinegar (natural). Stir in the flour, brown sugar, and salt until a sticky dough forms. Knead gently until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled in size, about 4 to 6 hours depending on starter activity.
  2. Roll Out the Dough: Turn risen dough onto a floured surface and roll into a large rectangle. Spread softened plant-based butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture evenly on top. Brush lightly with vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural) for extra flavor.
  3. Shape and Cut Rolls: Roll the dough tightly from one edge to the other to form a log. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into evenly sized rolls. Place the rolls cut-side up in a greased baking dish, leaving space between for expansion.
  4. Second Rise: Cover the rolls and let them rise again in a warm spot until puffy, about 1 to 2 hours.
