Description

The Watermelon Cucumber Cooler is a light, fresh, and naturally sweet beverage combining juicy watermelon, crisp cucumber, fresh mint, lime juice, and grape juice. Perfectly chilled over ice, it offers a hydrating and revitalizing escape on warm days with customizable herbal and flavor variations.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups watermelon chunks
  • 1 cup cucumber chunks (peeled if desired)
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (natural)
  • 1/4 cup grape juice
  • Ice cubes as needed

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon natural gelling agent
  • Drizzle of honey (natural) or agave syrup (natural) to taste
  • Fresh basil or cilantro as an alternative to mint
  • Splashes of orange juice or lemon juice for citrus boost
  • Pinch of ground ginger or chili powder for spice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and peel the cucumber if desired; cut into chunks. Cube fresh watermelon and gather fresh mint leaves. Juice the lime fresh for best flavor.
  2. Blend the Base: In a high-speed blender, combine watermelon chunks, cucumber, fresh mint leaves, lime juice (natural), and grape juice. Blend until smooth and vibrant in color.
  3. Strain for Smoothness: Pour the blended mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp for a silky texture. Press gently to extract all the juice.
  4. Chill and Serve: Pour the strained juice over a glass filled with ice cubes. Stir gently and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a thin cucumber slice.

Notes

  • Choose ripe watermelon with uniform color and a deep hollow sound for the best sweetness.
  • Use fresh mint leaves for brighter flavor instead of dried.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste by adding natural sweeteners last, avoiding overpowering natural flavors.
  • Chill all ingredients beforehand for optimal refreshment.
  • Add sparkling water for a bubbly version.
